We just took a quick trip up to Yellowstone National Park. Which, for the record, was America's first National Park, and man is it a beauty! Here are the five best things to see when you get the chance to visit.
1. Old Faithful
Duh. Everyone and their mother has heard of old faithful. It erupts roughly every 45 minutes, so make sure you check the time so you don't have to sit around with a bunch of tourists all day.
2. The Grand Prismatic Spring
There's the springs you swim in and then there is this thing. The grand prismatic spring is beautiful with all it's magnificent colors. It's a must see for anyone visiting Yellowstone.
3. Firehole Falls & Swimming Hole
Just past the beautiful Firehole Falls lies the swimming hole of the same name. It's the perfect place to take a dip, float around, and cool off after a day of hiking.
4. Tower Falls
Tower Falls is super easy to get to and it's 132 ft tall. The thing is, it's not even the best waterfall in the park. When a waterfall like this isn't even the best one in the park, you know you're somewhere beautiful.
5. Upper / Lower Falls
The Upper Falls are 109 ft. tall and just a quarter mile upstream from the largest waterfall in the park. The largest is Lower Falls, coming in at a towering 308 feet. That makes it twice as high as Niagara Falls, even though it's not as wide.
