One More Thing is a short daily reading to get you thinking.
How often do we allow ourselves to get caught up in trivial problems?
Every day there is someone out in the world who limits his/her gratitude to particular circumstances. We say, “If only it wasn’t raining outside, today would be perfect” or “If only I had more of this or more of that, then I’d be happy”.
There are also just some days that flat out suck, or stretches of time where we just feel like we’re in a rut.
It’s these moments where we need to teach ourselves to live gratefully. It’s important to remember that a bad day doesn’t equate to a bad life. No matter what our circumstances are there will always be something to be grateful for.
We live in a world filled with natural wonders. There are so many books to read and friends to make. There’s so much we can find joy in if only we remember to look.
Tip Of The Day: Whether you’re in a good mood or a bad one, take out your phone and set the timer to one minute. Grab paper and a pen. Write out a gratitude list. Write everything can possibly think of before the timer goes off.
